| Päivitys 03.03.2021: Tietoomme tulleiden sovellustason yhteensopivuusongelmien takia oletusversioksi asetetaan aiemmasta tiedotteesta poiketen PHP 7.3. —- Hyvä asiakkaamme, Kehitämme palveluitamme jatkuvasti taataksemme parhaan mahdollisen käyttökokemuksen. Osana tätä kehitystä, palvelimien PHP- ja MySQL versiot päivittyvät. Samalla vanhat versiot, jotka eivät enää saa tietoturvapäivityksiä, poistetaan käytöstä. Maaliskuun huoltoikkunan yhteydessä (9.3.2021 – 10.3.2021 välisenä yönä) PHP:n oletusversioksi muuttuu 7.4 ja MySQL -versioksi MariaDB 10.3. MariaDB on avoimeen lähdekoodiin perustuva tietokantapalvelinohjelmisto, joka on täysin yhteensopiva MySQL:n kanssa. Muutos MySQL:stä MariaDB:hen ei lähtökohtaisesti edellytä teiltä toimenpiteitä. Uudempaan versioon päivitys saattaa kuitenkin muuttaa esim. komentorakennetta, MariaDB:n versioon 10.3 voitte tutustua osoitteessa https://mariadb.com/kb/en/changes-improvements-in-mariadb-103. PHP-version voitte vaihtaa cPanelin MultiPHP Managerin kautta jo nyt. Suosittelemmekin kokeilemaan toimiiko sivustonne uusimmalla versiolla, ja mikäli ei, aloittamaan korjaavat toimenpiteet samantien. Kun päivitys on 10.3.2021 tehty, ovat vanhemmat PHP-versiot edelleen saatavilla. Voitte tarvittaessa vaihtaa MultiPHP Managerin kautta vanhan version takaisin, mutta huomioittehan, että vanhat versiot tullaan poistamaan huhtikuun huoltoikkunan yhteydessä (13.4.2021 – 14.4.2021). MySQL- / MariaDB-versioita voi olla ajossa vain yksi, joten tämän testaaminen etukäteen ei valitettavasti onnistu. Samasta syystä, paluu vanhaan versioon päivityksen jälkeen ei ole mahdollista. As part of this development, PHP- and MySQL-versions will be upgraded. In the process, old versions, that are no longer receiving security updates, will be removed. During the service window of March (9.3.2021 – 10.3.2021 night) default PHP-version will be upgraded to 7.4 and MySQL-version to MariaDB 10.3. MariaDB is an open source database server, which is fully compatible with MySQL. Changing from MySQL to MariaDB won’t by default require any action from you. Upgrade to newer major version, however, can change some command structures, you can read more about MariaDB 10.3 from https://mariadb.com/kb/en/changes-improvements-in-mariadb-103. In cPanel, you can find MultiPHP Manager, from which you can change the PHP-version already. We recommend changing it to 7.4 as soon as possible to test if your website will be functional with PHP 7.4, and if not, begin corrective measures immediately. Older PHP-versions will be still available after the upgrade, for about one month. From MultiPHP Manager, you can change the PHP-version back to older one if needed, but please note, older versions will be removed during the service window of April (13.4.2021 -14.4.2021). There can only be one version of MySQL / MariaDB at the time, so unfortunately, testing the new version beforehand is not possible.
